Maggie & Seth’s Engagement Shoot, Delnor Wiggins Pass, Naples, Fl.

I’m going to start by saying: These two were incredible! Maggie and Seth have been together since high school. When it was time for college, they decided to head to the warmth and sunshine to FGCU. (Go Eagles!) Together we talked about their dreams, and how sweet Seth was to go along with anything we asked him to do….even if it meant getting in the water, twice. It made for some laughs and a wet ride home, but I hope you’ll see just how worth doing it, it was!

Enjoy this sneak peek of their Naples engagement session. For all inquires, please visit me at Elsie J Photo.

Katie and Rick say “I do” Amongst friends and family in Punta Gorda

Last Saturday I witnessed the ceremony uniting Katie and Rick as husband and wife. As soon as I arrived I knew it was going to be a special wedding. Katie has a way of making everyone feel so welcomed! And Rick is just a great guy. Together, they are perfect. Wishing you all the happiness you can possibly handle!

Robert and Colleen-Engagement in Roanoke, Va.

She knew most of his family before she met him, but when Colleen and Robert finally did meet they began a friendship that would turn into something more. I will let these photos speak for themselves; it is clear that they love laughing together and they are incredibly happy.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Colleen and Robert in such a beautiful setting like Carvins Cove.  This shoot left me wanting more mountains and I’m hoping to go back again soon for more shoots and weddings!

We may have gone back another day to take more pictures there with my kiddos 🙂 I hope you enjoy a few more photos from their engagement session in the mountains. A special thanks to our best friends that helped find this location, due to us not being locals. xoxo

Kayla and Alex

As I was driving home from Kayla and Alex’s wedding on Saturday night I was trying to construct this post in my head. One of the biggest ways that I can describe their wedding was fun. Their guest were laughing and dancing and one could feel the love in the air. And this wasn’t just the love between Alex and Kayla, who are high school sweethearts, but from everyone that was in the room. They are sentimental and family driven people, and traditions and heritage mean something to them. I feel completely blessed to have been apart of their wedding.

Kayla and Alex, I wish you nothing but all of the sweetest times ahead. Continue to laugh with each other, be each other’s friend, and you will have a long and beautiful marriage.

Here are a few moments from their wedding at Bonita Bay Country Club.

Even though we only had a few minutes for photos due to rain, we were super excited about the rainbow, obviously 🙂

St. Pete Wedding at St. Jude Cathedral Church

Kim and Tommy met just shy of two years ago, as their lives were intermingled by friends and family. During their ceremony those of us in attendance could see just how blessed they were to have found one another. Their family and friends shared stories of the bride and groom as individuals and prayed for their marriage and their own journey that they are starting together. As a photographer, my husband and partner get to attend these weddings and really understand who the couple is by hearing what people around them have to say. Kim and Tommy have a beautiful partnership and we were so happy to be apart of their day.

Here are just a few photos that I have pulled out that tell a little of bit of their story. It has been hard picking photos as there are so many that I love; but here are a just a couple to start out with~

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!

Liz and Brian’s maternity session in the woods

Last weekend Liz and Brian and I met at Koreshan State Historic site for their maternity session. They are expecting a little baby girl in June; and they couldn’t be more excited! They wanted a woodsy feel to their session and I think Koreshan always provides such a perfect location for this. We laughed a lot during this shoot and I left feeling overjoyed to help share in their story- I hope you enjoy a few more of these photos as I prepare to send out your gallery!

Erika & John- An intimate beach wedding at Sanibel Harbour Marriott

I have known Erika since we played flute together in our high school marching band. She always had a sweet, and relaxed personality, so being able to work with her on her wedding day was nothing short of fantastic! Erika and John live in Nashville, TN. but shared their wedding day amongst close friends and family at Sanibel Harbour Marriott. Although we were slightly concerned about Hurricane Matthew (in the few days prior) everything worked out perfectly. There was a slight breeze on the beach while we all witnessed Erika and John happily pledging their commitment to one another. These two are genuinely in love and they are just so darn cute! I wish you two nothing but all the love this world has to offer.

I left after our short time together feeling like I was part of the family and falling more in love with wedding photography.

Sidenote: I offer intimate wedding packages (30 and under guests)- especially good for destination weddings! Enjoy a few of my Faves below, and make sure to “like” Elsie J Photo on Facebook and Instagram 🙂 My business thrives on word of mouth!

Hannah and John- Bohemian wedding at Tween Waters Inn

Last weekend my husband and I were out on Captiva Island at Tween Waters Inn for an elegant and fun wedding with Hannah and John. As soon as the ceremony was about to begin, the skies opened up and the rain came pouring down. We had a slight rain today, but decided that the ceremony must go on. It started raining again. The best part? The bride and groom didn’t care! It was the first wedding that we have shot in the rain, and although it wasn’t ideal for them, they made the absolute best of it- and made this apart of their story. How they still looked so glamorous is beyond me.

Hannah and John, thank you for allowing us to play a small role in your big day. Enjoy (and tell all of your friends to “like” Elsie J Photo)~
